Who is supported by the UCA?
The United Catholic Appeal is a reflection of who we are as Church—faithful, compassionate, and united in Christ. Rooted in the mission of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, this annual effort provides essential support for ministries that form disciples, care for those in need, and strengthen Catholic life across central and southern Indiana.
Through the Appeal, we Go Forth together—funding vocations and Catholic education, supporting parish life, and extending Christ’s love to our neighbors, both Catholic and non-Catholic alike. It’s a powerful way we live out our call to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.
We invite you to be part of this mission. Watch the stories. See the impact. And join us in building a stronger, more vibrant Church—one act of generosity at a time.
“The United Catholic Appeal is one of the clearest expressions of what it means to be one Church. Through our shared commitment, we Go Forth to bring Christ’s presence into every life, every home, and every corner of our archdiocese.”
~ Archbishop Charles C. Thompson

Why it Matters
Dear Friends in Christ,
At the heart of our faith is the Eucharist—a call to be transformed and then to transform the world around us. Each time we celebrate Mass, we are sent forth to carry Christ’s love into our families, communities, and beyond—to Go Forth in Joy.
The United Catholic Appeal is one of the most powerful ways we live that mission together. It supports the spiritual and pastoral work that shapes our parishes, cares for the poor and vulnerable, educates our young people, and forms tomorrow’s priests.
This is our Church. This is our call.
As you prayerfully consider your gift, know that it is not just a donation—it is a response. A response to the Gospel, to the needs of our neighbors, and to the invitation to walk together in faith.
Thank you for your generous heart and faithful witness. May we continue to go forth, renewed in the Eucharist, and united in Christ.
With assurance of my prayers and best wishes for you, I remain
Sincerely yours in Christ,

Archbishop Charles C. Thompson

There are countless needs within our communities, and they don’t follow a season—they persist all year long. Families are seeking shelter, food, and clothing. Individuals are battling addiction. Children long for the opportunity to receive a Catholic education. Mothers need essential supplies for their babies. Mental health care is crucial and often out of reach. And many seniors need a safe, supportive place to go while their loved ones are at work.
Thanks to the compassion and generosity of donors like you, Catholic Charities is able to respond to these needs with critical services across every area. As Christians, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Let us remember His powerful words in the Gospel of Matthew: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Preferred Ways to Give
Each person’s generosity looks different. Some choose to make a one-time gift, others give regularly, and some plan their giving over time. We invite you to choose the giving option that is right for you and supports the mission of our Church.
Recurring gifts continue at the same amount and monthly frequency from year to year, until you change or cancel them. A recurring gift allows you to notify the archdiocese that you are interested in a long-term commitment that supports the ministries so important to our faith.
A one-time gift is a single transaction. You select a gift amount and proceed with a payment online today.
